What is a Safe product ? According to the official definition, a safe product is one which presents no risk, or lessen risks (compatible with the product's use) and acceptable regarding a high protection for health and people's safety. The model of a sustainable agriculture Our sweet plantain, sweet potatoes, yucca swigs come from Honduras, where we work a sustainable agriculture. No chemicals or preservatives are used in the fields. Water comes from deep wells. It is filtered and purified before returning to the fields. The rest of the organic matter is used as organic fertilizer. Strict controls at every levels Annual third audits of plants are made by NSF Cook & Thurber. Controls by HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) are regularly done. The factory in Honduras is certified FSSC 22000 (Food Safety System Certification 22000) and approved GFSI. The directives GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and GFSI (Global Food Safety Initiative) are applied. « Back |
